Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Construction Inspector to join our team at CDM Smith. As a key member of our Transportation Construction, Engineering and Inspection group, you will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring construction activities at project sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex and routine inspections of construction to evaluate compliance with plans, specifications, and special provisions.
  • Use advanced equipment and perform complex calculations to ensure accurate inspections.
  • Work under limited supervision or direct supervision, depending on the assignment.
  • Review drawings and prepare for construction inspections.
  • Document and communicate inspection results to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications from a State Highway Agency or National Entity (e.g., ACI, NICET) in earthwork, asphalt, and concrete (if required by the client or jurisdiction).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 4 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
