Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transmission Line Engineer Intern to join our team at Sargent & Lundy. As a Transmission Line Engineer Intern, you will assist in the execution of project work, including the design of new and/or modifications and upgrades to Transmission Line engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Design of Foundations, Development of Structural Loading, Analysis of Transmission Structures.
  • Work on a variety of tasks associated with project reporting, such as tracking and evaluating project activities, project progress, and associated data.
Requirements
  • Must have an expected graduation date in Spring 2025, Fall 2025, Spring 2026, or Fall 2026 with a BS degree from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program.
  • Solid understanding of basic statics and strength of materials.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Prior, related internship or co-op experience.
