Position Overview:

Compensation: A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is available for external candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations including general, OB/GYNE, and vascular studies with minimal supervision.
  • Gather patient history, set appropriate equipment parameters, and capture images for radiological analysis.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to uphold the mission and values of Advocate Aurora Health.
  • Ensure compliance with ultrasound protocols and maintain a secure and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and complete required continuing education credits.
  • Document patient histories and images accurately for interpretation by radiologists.

Position Requirements:

  • Graduate from an AMA accredited Ultrasound program.
  • Ability to conduct Abdomen and OB exams with some oversight.
  • Registration in either Abdomen or OB is required within one year of hire; RVT registry is a plus.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong judgment, reliability, and independent decision-making skills are essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance; utilize patient handling equipment for heavier lifts.
