Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Accounting to join our team at S&P Global. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing governance and support in establishing and maintaining accounting policies and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide governance and support in establishing and maintaining accounting policies and controls.
  • Responsible for external financial reporting for all jurisdictions in which S&P Global operates.
  • Maintain accounting and financial records.
  • Perform more complex day-to-day accounting activities.
  • Assist in financial statement preparation.
  • Ensure all work practices, processes, and procedures for the business comply with the requirements of the jurisdictional rules of the country, SOX, and company policies and procedures.
  • Make decisions regarding day-to-day financial issues.
  • Apply broad knowledge of financial principles, business drivers, related areas, and external market to impact efficient and accurate bookkeeping and reporting.
  • Solve complex accounting problems and take a new perspective using existing or new solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5 years or more experience in a related field.
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required.
  • Proficient with MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookups, IF functions, etc.).
  • MBA, CPA/Chartered Accountant designation preferred.
  • Experience in Alteryx, BI Dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI), Anaplan, and Smartview a plus.
