We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Program Manager to join our team at the University of Maryland St. Joseph's Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new program in our hospitalist department, where we are establishing a new advance practice team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating an advanced level of comprehensive healthcare for a specific patient population in collaboration with the medical staff. They will oversee the work of nurse practitioners and physician assistants in specific service lines, taking a leadership role in overall program development.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Director of Advanced Practice Provider Services and collaborate with the Medical Director and Nursing Leadership in facilitating the development, support, and management of the NP/PA group within specific service lines.
- Actively participate with Quality Management in the development and implementation of clinical practices.
- Monitor competency, documentation, and outcomes of care given by Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants, identifying ways to facilitate working relationships among all levels of staff to meet patient care requirements.
- Provide overall clinical supervision, including work assignments, schedules, training, and evaluation in accordance with UM SJMC and specific, respective departmental policies and procedures.
- Master of Science Degree with completion of Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program.
- Four years experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is required. Lead or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland. Certified in area of specialty, preferred.
- Current ACLS, BCLS, PALS, NRP required - if required based on area of practice and clinical job description.
