The Center for Justice Innovation seeks a skilled Forensic Assessment Specialist to join their team in Manhattan, New York. As a key member of the Jail Population Review Program, this specialist will play a vital role in identifying individuals with behavioral health issues who may be eligible for pre-trial release and alternative to incarceration programming.

This is an exciting opportunity for a post-doctoral psychologist to contribute to a groundbreaking systemic reform initiative. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals experiencing mental health issues, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and/or homelessness. They will also possess strong organizational and time management skills, excellent writing and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a highly interdependent team.

In this role, you will conduct clinical/psychological evaluations to identify clinical needs, clarify diagnoses, and create treatment/management plans that improve clinical outcomes and mitigate risk. You will also assist with reviewing screening information and medical records from Correctional Health Services and coordinate with legal stakeholders, including judges, defense attorneys, prosecutors, and court staff.

The salary for this position is $78,500-$95,500, commensurate with experience.
