Wound Care Specialist

At The Laurels of Bedford, we are seeking a skilled Wound Care Nurse to join our team. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents with skin disorders and wounds.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and develop individualized care plans for residents with skin disorders and wounds.
- Provide wound care treatments, including debridement, dressing changes, and wound cleansing.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
- Monitor and report on resident progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest wound care research and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve resident outcomes.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan.
- At least two years of experience in wound care, preferably in a skilled nursing setting.
- Strong knowledge of wound care principles, including wound assessment, debridement, and dressing selection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
