Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Investigator

Job Summary:

California State University, Los Angeles is seeking a highly skilled and experienced investigator to join our team. As a Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and objective investigations of reports and complaints related to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. You will ensure that university policies and procedures are in compliance with Title VII, Title IX, ADA, and related state laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct prompt, thorough, and objective investigations of reports and complaints related to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
  • Ensure that university policies and procedures are in compliance with Title VII, Title IX, ADA, and related state laws.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for faculty, staff, and students on related policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the Title IX Coordinator to implement institutional Title IX and CSU Policy.
  • Maintain database for tracking reports and complaints and preparing regular reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Experience developing and delivering training.
  • Advanced knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), Title VII, ADA, Title IX, VAWA, and other applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited four-year college or university or Juris Doctor.
  • Two years of experience conducting HR-related and/or EEO-related investigations and Title IX investigations.
  • Working knowledge of issues related to gender-based violence.
