The Role

We provide a platform for you to enhance and apply a diverse engineering skill set at an accelerated pace. This position is perfect for proactive and intelligent Power Systems Engineers eager to learn continuously and tackle intricate challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Engage in engineering tasks, which include analysis, studies, and design, such as:
    • Designing industrial power systems.
    • Conducting power factor assessments and corrections, harmonic analysis, and grounding evaluations.
    • Configuring microprocessor-based relays for generator and transformer protection.
    • Creating one-line, three-line, and control schematics.
    • Troubleshooting electrical systems related to switchgear and relay controls.
    • Performing short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies.
  • Oversee and validate ongoing and completed engineering projects; ensure adherence to deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits to gather essential information, address project challenges, and review engineering plans with clients.
Minimum Qualifications: To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience in power systems, particularly in relaying, system studies, or design.
  • Experience with low, medium, and high-voltage equipment is essential.
  • Experience in Protection and Control SEL Relay testing is highly desirable; familiarity with writing relay logic for various systems is preferred.
  • Utility design experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.
  • Previous experience in supervisory or project leadership roles is advantageous.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and random drug tests thereafter.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel domestically; international travel may be beneficial.
