Heidelberg Materials is in search of a qualified

Production Facility Operator

for our Hot Mix Asphalt operations. This role is essential for achieving daily production targets at our facility.

Operators may also be required to handle equipment such as dump trucks and skid steers, along with performing administrative tasks and other related duties as necessary.

Flexibility to work at various locations is essential for this position.

Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Achieve daily production objectives by mastering all facets of plant operations.

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.

Perform regular maintenance tasks including greasing, checking oil levels, and clearing spillage areas.

Operate machinery including skid loaders and plant trucks.

Communicate effectively with contractors and drivers regarding current job status.

Maintain accurate plant records and financial documentation.

Qualifications

Basic computer proficiency.

Strong mechanical aptitude for general maintenance tasks.

Ability to operate plant machinery.

General understanding of hot mix asphalt processes and operations.

Demonstrated customer service abilities.

Excellent communication skills.

Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and night shifts.

Ability to learn basic welding and torch operation.

Physical Requirements:


Ability to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, twist, climb, balance, bend, kneel, reach, grasp, squat, and perform repetitive motions. Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs., working in confined spaces, and tolerating various weather conditions. Must also be able to wear respiratory and other personal protective equipment.
