Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Visual Arts Instructor to join our team at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) Extension. As a Visual Arts Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in the Visual Arts department, including painting, drawing, jewelry making, ikebana, and art history.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a strong background in the Visual Arts, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional artist. They will be responsible for developing and teaching courses, as well as designing curriculum and measuring student performance. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to convey complex ideas and information effectively.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a strong background in the Visual Arts, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional artist. They must also have a commitment to academic standards and integrity, and be able to provide visual samples of their work.

Preferred Qualifications

A college-level or continuing education teaching experience is preferred, as is experience designing curriculum and measuring student performance.
