Job Summary

We're seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As an LPN, you'll play a vital role in bringing understanding and peace to patients and their families during a challenging time.

Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Assist with the preparation of equipment and aid physician during examination and procedures.
  • Observe, record, and report patients' condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
  • Perform EKG and oximetry readings as required by physician.
  • Obtain blood specimens from peripheral sites as needed and in accordance with OSHA and universal precautions.
  • Phone in prescriptions and make other patient calls as required or directed by physicians.
  • Maintain patient files, records, and other information.
  • Initiate IV fluids and IV therapeutic medications in accordance with LPN/LVN state nurse practice act.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited program for practical nursing education.
  • 0-3 years experience required, preferably in an oncology environment.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within 3 months of hire.
  • Current LPN state license and registration with the State Board of Practical Nursing in practicing state.
