About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team at Magna Services in Spartanburg, SC. This is a permanent/regular position with opportunities for career growth and development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive manufacturing, with experience working on production assembly lines. Knowledge of metals and ability to work overtime as needed are also highly desirable.

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling parts using manual methods or operating machines, while maintaining a safe and healthful work environment. You will also train other employees as needed and ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble parts by operating machines or using manual methods in a safe manner to meet production goals.
  • Read and follow all work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards. Reports any deviations immediately.
  • Observe operation of machines and verify conformance of work piece to specifications and dimensions as well as visually inspect parts for non-conformance.
  • Train other employees as needed.
  • Create and maintain a safe and healthful work environment.
  • Responsible for 5S within the plant and daily housekeeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in order to meet the needs of the company.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing a plus.
  • Knowledge of production assembly line processes is a plus.
  • Ability to stand on feet for at least 8 hours per day.
