Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Focus Staff. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies
  • Perform patient studies according to set protocols, including placing coils close to areas of interest
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address their concerns
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience as a MRI Technologist with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety
  • License in the required state
  • BLS certification
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position
