Key Responsibilities:
  • Address end-user support requests to resolve standard application software issues or assist with hardware challenges remotely when feasible. Track and manage support tickets in an incident management system to identify problems and resolutions effectively.
  • Oversee and maintain the virtual and physical server environment, ensuring optimal performance of all systems. This includes monitoring hardware and storage platforms.
  • Identify, procure, and implement server, storage, and cloud technologies, considering factors such as vendor specifications, departmental needs, transaction volumes, and security requirements.
  • Analyze data to recommend and plan layouts for computer systems and peripheral equipment, ensuring efficient operation and effective use of space.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for core applications and data structures, providing reliable support and guidance across departments.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for core system issues, providing assistance to other system administrators as necessary.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of core systems and programming to develop web applications that integrate with host systems as required by business needs.
  • Manage the scheduling and maintenance of core system jobs, making adjustments to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Proactively plan for necessary hardware or software upgrades to accommodate system growth.
  • Engage in development and testing activities for supported applications and systems, generating reports and files for user departments and IT management as needed.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade server operating systems and applications, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
  • A four-year degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in SQL queries and shell scripting; experience with relational databases is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential. Familiarity with Cisco UCS, VCE VBlock, Dell servers, EMC SAN architectures, and Windows Server environments is highly desirable.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer (MCSE) and/or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certifications are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of relationship pricing, deposit, and loan account management.
  • Experience with shell scripting is preferred.
  • Understanding of Consumer Communications Management (CCM) is a plus.
  • Extensive troubleshooting skills are required.
Work Schedule:
  • Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
