Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Building Automation Programmer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical problem-solving abilities and leverage their experience in line-based programming, standards, and procedures, along with a comprehensive understanding of building systems and applications to create programs for DDC controllers and user interface graphics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop controls systems databases and interfaces based on design specifications.
  • Assist with technical support during project start-up and commissioning phases.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance to installation teams.
  • Collaborate with other contractors to ensure project success.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues during static and dynamic start-up phases.
  • Support sales teams with accurate estimations and designs for building systems.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for project commissioning and start-up.
  • Ensure existing installations comply with occupancy codes and operate efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of as-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
  • Facilitate the transition of projects from operations to service teams.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in BAS programming and third-party equipment integration.
  • Extensive knowledge of various commercial HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in programming with Johnson Controls, Facility Explorer, or Tridium Niagara.
  • Experience in hands-on troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BACnet and Modbus protocols.
  • Strong understanding of computer networks and BAS networks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
