Job Overview

MV Transportation is in search of a Transportation Operations Supervisor who will oversee the daily route management and report directly to the Operations Supervisor, under the guidance of the General Manager. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with client-defined procedures and adherence to company standards.



Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating communication regarding route and driver issues with the Operations Supervisor and/or General Manager as necessary.
  • Monitoring communication devices to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Fostering a positive work environment and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Overseeing daily driver sign-in and sign-out processes.
  • Assigning trips to drivers to ensure equitable distribution across all routes.
  • Evaluating daily operational performance metrics.
  • Participating in the assessment and review of operational effectiveness.
  • Documenting instances of delayed or canceled routes and reporting to Dispatch Supervisors and/or Dispatch Managers as needed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement.
    • Applicants without the required license should refrain from applying.
  • Preferred experience includes at least one (1) year in a Dispatch or Supervisory role.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Customer Service is advantageous.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Professional phone etiquette is essential.
  • Familiarity with the service area is beneficial.
