The Department of Radiology at Tufts Medical Center is actively seeking a passionate Musculoskeletal Radiologist at any career stage to become part of a dynamic department renowned for its high-quality residency and fellowship programs. Mission of the Radiology Department
- Deliver exceptional care tailored to patients' needs.
- Focus on treating the patient rather than just the images.
- Serve as a hub for creativity in physician education and scientific innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the MSK section chief and engage with residents and fellows in the MSK section.
- Interpret MSK imaging studies, including plain films, DEXA scans, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
- Perform light imaging-guided procedures, such as fluoro-guided drug injections, arthrogram injections, and joint aspirations. Skills in ultrasound-guided MSK interventions and dedicated MSK ultrasound scanning are preferred but not mandatory.
- Instruct radiology residents and fellows.
- Encourage participation in research and quality improvement initiatives, typically supervising medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Weekend on-call duties (Plain Film, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) are conducted remotely, with home workstations provided.
- Opportunities for voluntary internal moonlighting (extra weekend calls) are available for those interested in additional income.
- Engage in multidisciplinary and educational conferences.
- While full-time onsite work is preferred, we can accommodate requests for partial remote work based on individual circumstances.
- Academic productivity, teaching contributions, and clinical work incentives are available and compensated annually during performance reviews.
- Academic time will be allocated according to educational and research needs.
- Administrative time will be provided for individuals in leadership roles.

Tufts Medical Center is a Level-1 Trauma Center and serves as the academic flagship of Tufts Medicine, a healthcare network that includes community healthcare practices. We are the clinical faculty for the ACGME Diagnostic Radiology and Fellowship programs at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Academic Rank
Positions available include Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Radiology at Tufts University School of Medicine, commensurate with academic achievements. Exceptional candidates may be considered for accelerated promotion to a higher academic rank.

Facilities and Equipment
- State-of-the-art Phillips Tesla MRI with ultrafast MR imaging supported by deep learning (AI) reconstructions, along with additional 3.0 Tesla and 1.5 Tesla MR systems.
- Two dual-source, dual-energy Siemens Force CT scanners.
- One AS 64 CT scanner equipped with an IR guidance package.
- Eight new GE E10 ultrasound machines.
Candidate Requirements
- Must possess an MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent degree.
- Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR).
- Completion or progress towards an MSK radiology fellowship is required at the time of application.
- Medical licensure or eligibility in Massachusetts is necessary.

- Tufts Medical Center can provide visa support (H1B, O-1, and J-1 waiver positions, depending on circumstances) for qualified candidates.
