Job Summary:

The Visual Merchandising Coordinator will support in sample ordering/management, assist in creating compelling visual guidelines and assist in developing visual strategies to drive brand awareness, meet sales objectives and maximize profitability. This position will interact with cross-functional teams to identify key messages and set clear goals that continuously elevate the consumer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation of monthly Global VM Guidelines:
    • Assist with creating content by working with 2D product CADs for digital guidelines.
    • Partner with Global Merchandising and Licensing to create dynamic and innovative VM Direction
    • Support with sample management which includes ordering, organizing and returning samples in a timely manner
  • Support setup of seasonal showrooms installations and special events.
  • Support key launches of seasonal floorsets in select local store locations.
  • Conduct seasonal trend hunting and inspiration research.
Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on visual merchandising experience with fashion related brands or specialty retailers.
  • Field visual or in-store merchandising experience and/or corporate visual experience preferred.
  • Experience working with leather goods and lifestyle categories: bags, small leather goods, ready-to-wear, footwear, jewelry, watches and sunwear.
  • Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office (Power Point and Excel).
  • Demonstrated proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to interact with a diverse group.
  • Passion for visual merchandising and fashion.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts preferred but not required.
  • Strong aesthetic and visual design/styling experience.
  • Ability to take direction, multi-task and manage shifting priorities.
  • Strong initiative, ownership and accountability for completing projects
