- Innovate and test contemporary solutions for integration into current systems and apparatus.
- Create installation and testing protocols for system enhancements and validation.
- Oversee comprehensive system verification, encompassing all testing phases.
- Formulate and implement testing strategies and procedures in a functional setting.
- Collaborate with external suppliers to produce prototypes and production units, including the formulation of Manufacturing Specifications.
- Investigate emerging technologies for potential incorporation into the ASR-9 system.
- Offer second-level engineering support for ASR-9 modifications deployed in the field, either on-site or via remote assistance.
- Deliver second-level maintenance and engineering support for data management and operational subsystems of the ASR-9.
- Provide expert leadership and technical counsel to team members.
- Engage in and lead technical discussions and meetings.
- Participate in formal and informal evaluations at key stages of the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical guidance and Process Improvement initiatives.
- This role may involve occasional travel to various Radar Sites to assist local technicians with equipment maintenance and modifications, with a requirement for availability on short notice.
Essential Skills:
- Familiarity with testing instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
- Competence in analyzing existing requirements, testing, and compliance documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
Educational Background:
- High School Diploma/GED with ten (10) years of relevant experience, including at least five (5) years in NAS OR
- Associate degree in a related discipline with eight (8) years of relevant experience, including at least five (5) years in NAS OR
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with six (6) years of relevant experience, including at least five (5) years in NAS.
US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is mandatory. Candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for Government clearance. Verification of previous employment, education, and references is also required. Candidates must be either US citizens or current green card holders with a minimum of three consecutive years as residents of the US.
