  • Support daily store operations as needed.
  • Deliver courteous and efficient service to all customers.
  • Handle donations with utmost care and treat donors with respect.
  • Organize merchandise according to established categories and color schemes.
  • Ensure the store is adequately stocked and organized following the ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and overall upkeep of the store.
  • Promptly report any theft, customer grievances, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Keep work areas tidy and free from clutter.
  • Adhere to the Guide to Thrift Store & Donation Center Operations.
  • Support the work therapy program by exemplifying professional behavior and work ethics to beneficiaries.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Processing Duties:

  • Sort, hang, tag, price, and distribute donations to various departments as necessary.
  • Clean, sort, and price various items including shoes, furniture, and electronics for appropriate distribution.

Cashier and Sales Floor Responsibilities:

  • Comply with cash handling and security protocols related to cash register operations.
  • Sort, price, and stock merchandise as directed.
  • Return fitting room items to their respective locations.
  • Maintain merchandise displays as instructed.
  • Answer phone calls in a friendly and professional manner.

Donations and Maintenance Tasks:

  • Ensure cleanliness of the sales floor, restrooms, entryways, and surrounding areas.
  • Accept donations respectfully and in accordance with established policies.
  • Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • Receive and process donated materials courteously and efficiently.
  • Safeguard all donated items and assigned equipment.
  • Maintain a steady flow of donations to the sorting area throughout the day.
  • Assist in organizing the sales floor as required.
  • Perform lawn and garden maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in English for effective communication.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Able to follow instructions accurately.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
