Key Responsibilities:
As an RN, your primary duties will include:
1. Providing comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients, focusing on both adult and geriatric populations.
2. Implementing a patient-centered approach to nursing, ensuring that care is tailored to individual needs.
3. Collaborating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote optimal health outcomes.
4. Utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
5. Ensuring adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
6. Assisting in the operations of the Geriatric Psychiatric Unit and coordinating with other departments as necessary.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A valid Alabama RN license.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS certification is preferred.
- A minimum of one to three years of experience in psychiatric nursing is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong multitasking abilities and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
