Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Microsurgeon Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced microsurgeon to join our Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Albany Medical Center. As a full-time academic fellowship trained microsurgeon, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of surgeons and medical professionals in a state-of-the-art operating facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching and mentoring medical students and residents, and contributing to research and academic initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including breast microsurgery, head and neck microvascular and general reconstruction, and lower extremity microvascular and general reconstruction.

To be considered for this position, you must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, successful completion of an approved Plastic Surgery residency program, and board eligibility/certification in plastic surgery. You must also be able to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of New York.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care in breast microsurgery, head and neck microvascular and general reconstruction, and lower extremity microvascular and general reconstruction
  • Teach and mentor medical students and residents in plastic and reconstructive surgery
  • Contribute to research and academic initiatives in plastic and reconstructive surgery
  • Collaborate with other surgeons and medical professionals to provide comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of an approved Plastic Surgery residency program
  • Board eligibility/certification in plastic surgery
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of New York
