Position Overview

The Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) is in search of a skilled professional to fill the role of Warehouse Services Manager. This position demands a leader with a solid track record in enhancing processes and fostering collaboration among diverse teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the central hub that ensures seamless operations, which includes inventory and warehouse management, procurement, fleet oversight, and facility management. Effective communication with internal teams and external partners is crucial, making strong verbal and written communication skills a necessity.

The successful candidate will manage relationships with vendors and contractors across various disciplines, serving multiple locations. Therefore, strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish rapport with a wide range of stakeholders are essential.

Fortunately, you will have the support of a highly regarded team that collaborates effectively. As part of the Finance division, you will benefit from the guidance of dedicated colleagues who have experience in this role and can provide mentorship.

The ideal applicant should possess a foundational understanding of the electric utility sector, particularly regarding inventory requirements and terminology. Experience in team leadership, proven negotiation capabilities, and the ability to collaborate and reach consensus among stakeholders with differing priorities are highly valued. A degree in Business Administration or a related field is advantageous.
