Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing preventative care and maintenance of patients' dental health, working closely with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide thorough and gentle dental hygiene services to patients, including cleanings, exams, and patient education.
- Conduct thorough medical and dental histories, and document patient information accurately.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to meet patients' unique needs.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest dental hygiene techniques and technologies, and participate in ongoing education and training.
Requirements
- Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and patient screening and medical history documentation.
- CPR Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
- Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
