Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Closer/Funder III to join our team at OneAZ Credit Union. As a key member of our Mortgage Closing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of mortgage loan packages, from preparation to funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and fund mortgage loan closing documents, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and complete.
  • Verify homeowners insurance accuracy, amount, mortgagee clause, and dates.
  • Complete verbal verifications of employment and ensure efficiency and quality of loan packages.
  • Prepare loan packages for compliance with Credit Union, state, and investor standards.
  • Review all underwriting conditions and requests, and obtain additional approvals if necessary.
  • Review closing disclosures to ensure accuracy of all fees and that loan amount matches loan approval and member expectations.
  • Coordinate with title company to receive loan documentation and ensure timely receipt of documents.
  • Finalize balances with title company and order mortgage wire through Wire Exchange.
  • Organize and scan all signed closing documents and upload to Loan Origination System (LOS) system.
  • Ensure fully executed and certified final closing disclosures are received on all files.
  • Provide support to HELOC and Fixed Equity associates for closing and funding of loans within LOS and Credit Union system of record.
  • Provide documentation and closing support to all broker and wholesale programs, as applicable.
  • Provide documentation and closing support to all specialized programs, such as WISH, Affordable Housing, MDPA, etc.
  • Complete assignments as assigned by management.
  • Update Closing/Funding procedures and maintain all items in published sites.
  • MERS registration at funding on Third Party site.
  • Provide support to Construction Closing Specialist as needed.
  • UCD run at funding in Doc Provider system.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Associate's degree Preferred or
  • Other comparable experience in Mortgage Loan Closing/Funding Preferred
Experience
  • 8 to 10 years of similar or related experience. 8 to 10 years related experience in First Mortgage, closing and funding Conventional, FHA, and/or VA loans, or Construction loans Required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of Mortgage lending practices and closing documents.
  • Knowledge and experience with office suite software (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organization and attention-to-detail skills.
