Job Summary
This is a highly responsible technical role that involves administering support for the maintenance and operations of the County's SharePoint Online system.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the SharePoint Online environment to ensure seamless collaboration and data security.
- Create, configure, and customize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and other features to meet business requirements.
- Manage user permissions and access controls to ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies.
- Monitor SharePoint performance and troubleshoot issues, such as site errors, permissions problems, and workflow failures.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions using SharePoint functionality.
- Train end-users on SharePoint best practices, features, and functionality.
- Create and maintain documentation related to SharePoint configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with SharePoint updates, patches, and new features, and implement them as needed.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related IT field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, certification, and training.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for a minimum of one year.
- Proficiency in configuring and customizing sites, lists, and workflows.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to serve others.
- Ability to comprehend, speak, and write the English language.
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365.
- Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions.
- Skill in the preparation of clear and precise administrative reports.
