Physician: St. Brides Correctional Center

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our team at the St. Brides Correctional Center. As a Physician, you will be responsible for providing medical care and medication management to offenders, analyzing and interpreting patients' histories, symptoms, and diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses, and prescribing medications based on efficacy, safety, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional medical care and medication management to offenders
Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, and diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses
Prescribe medications based on efficacy, safety, and cost
Collaborate with nursing staff to provide comprehensive care to offenders
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited medical college
Completion of an approved residency in a primary care specialty, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or similar specialty
Active license to practice medicine in Virginia, and board eligible or certified
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a correctional environment
Experience treating in a public health care setting
