Equipment Maintenance Specialist

**Job Summary**
Government Jobs is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equipment Operator I to join our team. As an Equipment Operator I, you will be responsible for performing entry-level support work under the direction of the Streets Foreman.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of city streets, sidewalks, public rights-of-way, storm water detention ponds, and drainage systems.
- Perform a variety of tasks, including equipment operation, labor, and material handling.
- Work under close supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Assist with training newly hired employees.
- Be able to be scheduled for on-call rotation.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions.
