Job Summary

Energix North America is seeking a dedicated Environmental Compliance Specialist to oversee and manage environmental compliance across multiple construction sites in Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of solar construction sites to ensure compliance with state and local regulations, including the Department of Environmental Protection and Pennsylvania Erosion & Sediment Control Manual.
  • Maintain and organize Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) documentation.
  • Prioritize tasks based on urgency, weather conditions, contractual obligations, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with state and county officials.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address and rectify erosion and other environmental issues using knowledge of Pennsylvania Erosion & Sediment Control Manual and Best Management Practices (BMPs).
  • Adhere strictly to all relevant environmental laws and permitting requirements.
  • Identify and promptly report any environmental concerns to the environmental compliance manager and site manager.
  • Travel extensively across Pennsylvania, including overnight stays, to meet the demands of site coverage.
  • Manage priorities and time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed without being micromanaged.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills.
  • Basic technology skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Physical ability to walk long distances in various outdoor conditions.
