Incredible Health is actively hiring and accepting applications for a Registered Nurse - PCU / Stepdown position in the Wilmington, DE area. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a Level 1 trauma center, Magnet recognized hospital with a team of dedicated professionals.
Overview:This role involves providing specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips, and other key indicators. You will administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care, closely monitoring patients' vital signs and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on managing acute or chronic conditions, including proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations.
- Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
- Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and other advanced nursing care practices
