Job Description

Motorola Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead the implementation of Communication System upgrade Projects. The successful candidate will act as the leader and focal point for all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Public Safety communications systems, Military communications, Civil construction, or IT Networks, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google. A PMP certification is highly desired, and experience with CPQ and Salesforce is a plus.

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading large programs or portions of very complex programs
  • Directing and coordinating the work activities of the project team
  • Establishing, tracking, and auditing project budgets
  • Representing the organization on projects and performing in project leadership roles
  • Managing project staff, including project reporting, administration, and communication
  • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, and be able to travel to customer locations for on-site upgrades. A self-motivated team player with a strong understanding of two-way radio infrastructure communications products, services, and systems is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Project planning, setting deliverable dates, and tracking those deliverables
  • Developing a project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Managing and communicating changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
  • Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Reporting and escalating to management as needed

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university
  • 3+ years of Project or Program Management experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely
