Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our team as a Process Improvement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and scheduling in our Operations department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize data analytics and modeling techniques to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement scheduling algorithms and methodologies to optimize distribution schedules.
  • Demonstrate strong continuous improvement knowledge and application of toolkit.
  • Develop and ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Support plant and transport project improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and drive the change process.
  • Work with partner and SME (subject matter experts) to identify and resolve any concerns related to the processes and systems.
  • Be the operations representative for system change management.
  • Flexible schedule and availability during critical times and peaks of the year including project roll out periods.
  • Design and implement efficient solutions including but not limited to capacity, productivity, quality and service.
  • Collect and analyze data to quantify and validate process improvements.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including cost justification, project planning, execution, training, and go-live support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and lead individuals who are not direct reports.
  • Comfortable juggling and coordinating multiple projects across several channels simultaneously.
  • Enjoy operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment under time constraints.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a Master's degree program (industrial engineering or related field).
  • Experience working in a union environment.
  • Experience working with an automated system.
  • Experience with WMS, SAP, data analysis & SQL.
  • Experience in operations, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing.
  • Able to write for and work with a wide range of audiences, from executives to line workers.
