Make a Difference as a Math Corps Tutor

At Math Corps, we're committed to helping students build a strong foundation in math. As a Math Corps tutor, you'll play a critical role in empowering students in grades 4-8 to succeed in math and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to students in math, helping them build confidence and skills
  • Track student progress and collaborate with school staff to ensure students receive the support they need
  • Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software
  • Participate in coaching, training, and professional development to enhance your skills as a tutor
  • Represent Math Corps at school events and share your experience with the community to raise awareness about the importance of math education
Requirements:
  • Dependable and have a history of good attendance
  • Able to understand and follow instructions
  • Open to making improvements based on feedback
  • Capable of setting a pace and maintaining a schedule with students
  • Competent with basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
  • Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
  • 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
  • Able to successfully complete a background check
