About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Representative to join our team at TECO. As an Operations Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our utility services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform line-locating requests and customer service functions, including cashiering and answering customer inquiries.
  • Conduct limited field service work, including connects, disconnects, and leak investigation following qualifications.
  • Perform meter-reading activities, mapping, and drafting duties.
  • Conduct leak survey functions, including annual transmission and distribution system surveys, public building inspections, and line-locating requests.
  • Perform storekeeping and warehousing duties, including document and report processing, receiving, and issuing supplies, and posting receipts and issues.
  • Investigate requests and prepare measurement and cost estimate data for work orders through contact with customers, contractors, government officials, and field inspection.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • 0-3 years of related experience for the Operations Representative role, and 3 years of experience and a Journeyman Gas Fitter's License (JGL) for the Senior Operations Representative role.
Working Conditions

The Operations Representative will work in a field, warehouse, and/or office environment, and may be required to work overtime and/or on-call and handle emergency response as needed. The role may also require working at various job sites, out of town, and/or remote locations.
