Position Overview:

This role involves providing high-quality breast imaging services at our outpatient imaging center. The Mammography Imaging Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Performing breast imaging procedures and related techniques, ensuring accurate data is produced for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Maintaining a safe and compliant environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Possibly leading a team of technologists during designated shifts and mentoring less experienced staff.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
  • An Associate's Degree in Radiology or graduation from an accredited two-year radiology program.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, with current valid registration.
  • Advanced registration in Mammography through ARRT.
  • Proficiency in operating Mammography equipment and related ancillary devices.
  • A solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with computer applications, including information systems and digital archiving.
