Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with management to assist in planning, organizing, and controlling activities within assigned areas.
  • Engage with the user community to conduct research, fact-finding, and analysis to define system requirements, scope, and objectives, establish priorities, and monitor progress on complex information systems.
  • Develop or modify procedures to address complex challenges, considering computer capacity, operating time, and desired outcomes for optimal computer utilization.
  • Prepare comprehensive project feasibility studies, outlining system scope, project costs, time estimates, and resource requirements for new and existing software systems.
  • Guide, mentor, and coordinate the work of junior software developers and analysts, assisting in the development of complex programs.
  • May serve as Team or Project Lead, responsible for the completion of project phases.
  • Provide thorough documentation for new or modified information systems and application software, including operational procedures and manuals.
  • Draft detailed specifications for application software development.
  • Plan and conduct system testing.
  • Design, code, and debug new application software programs and enhance existing applications.
  • Test and troubleshoot new and existing software applications.
  • Execute tasks in accordance with established techniques, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize case tools and application development software as needed.
  • Monitor application software systems to ensure optimal performance and execution.
