The primary role of the Employee Benefits and Wellness Specialist is to integrate into a team that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional support and collaboration across the organization.

As a key resource, you will guide our Team Members in understanding the Company's Insurance Benefits and Wellness Programs.

In your capacity as a Benefits liaison, you will assist staff with inquiries regarding benefits enrollment and ensure adherence to necessary benefit notifications and regulations.

You will be tasked with organizing, planning, and executing health, wellness, and employee perks initiatives.

Your efforts will contribute to enhancing employee satisfaction and minimizing claim expenses by providing precise benefits information and educating Team Members on optimal utilization.


Key Responsibilities:


Engage with all employees concerning eligibility, addressing benefits-related inquiries, and investigating claims resolutions while upholding confidentiality and compliance with federal and state laws.

Oversee and enhance the employee perks program.

Support audits and maintain benefits data within the benefits administration systems.

Assist in managing the annual open enrollment process for benefit offerings.

Provide support to employees with benefits-related questions.


Evaluate the qualification of child support orders for medical, dental, and/or vision coverage and oversee the approval and documentation of qualifying life event requests.

Assist in audits and maintain benefits data within Oracle and the benefits administration systems.

Reinstate benefits for returning employees.

Contribute to a comprehensive wellness initiative.

Coordinate, plan, and implement health and wellness programs for employees.

Develop promotional strategies for wellness initiatives throughout the organization.


Physical requirements for this role frequently include: the ability to remain stationary, move freely within and occasionally outside of the office, and operate mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.

This is a full-time position that necessitates in-person attendance during standard business hours.

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.

2 years of experience in human resources or benefits is advantageous, but knowledge gained from HR-focused coursework will also be considered.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Professional demeanor to effectively interact with employees and management at all levels.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and be knowledgeable about HIPAA and other regulations related to confidential health information.

Capability to establish collaborative relationships with employees, management, and vendors.

Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism in projects both internally and externally.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
