Commercial Credit Analyst

Middlesex Savings Bank is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Credit Analyst to fill a critical role in its Credit Analysis Department. As a Commercial Credit Analyst, you will play a pivotal part in analyzing financial statements, preparing cash flow analyses, and recommending credit structures for complex credit relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of commercial credit analysis, including the ability to analyze repayment sources, evaluate risk, and identify risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with credit colleagues, lenders, and other departments to provide high-quality credit analysis and support.
  • Support special projects within the Credit Analysis Department as required, such as credit policy development and credit risk assessment.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory guidelines and ensure compliance in all aspects of credit analysis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or business.
  • 5+ years of experience in credit-related roles, with a strong focus on commercial credit analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and commercial loan documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software.
