Position Overview:

The Division boasts a robust open and endovascular practice with access to cutting-edge technology, including hybrid operating rooms. Additionally, the Division offers an ACGME-accredited two-year vascular fellowship. Ideal candidates should demonstrate advanced open and endovascular capabilities across a wide range of vascular conditions affecting the thoracic and abdominal aorta, carotid arteries, and other aortic branches, as well as extremity peripheral artery disease, venous issues, arteriovenous access, and potentially thoracic outlet syndrome. Candidates are expected to educate vascular fellows, surgical residents, medical and podiatry students, and advanced practice providers, while also engaging in basic science or clinical research with guidance from senior Division members. Effective communication and collaboration across surgical and medical disciplines are essential.

Qualifications Required:

  • MD or DO with ACGME-accredited vascular integrated residency or vascular fellowship training.
  • Academic credentials suitable for a faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
  • Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Key Highlights:

• Diverse practice environments at Temple and throughout the surrounding area, recognized expertise in limb preservation, strong collaboration with vascular oncology specialists, management of a busy vascular diagnostic laboratory, and active community outreach initiatives.

• Temple Health provides prospective candidates with a collaborative, team-oriented practice atmosphere that prioritizes quality patient care, research, education, individual career growth, and collegial relationships among vascular division members.

• The faculty is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of surgical care to all patients while pursuing research and academic excellence.

Compensation and Benefits:

In addition to a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package that includes a generous retirement plan, health, dental, vision, life insurance, malpractice coverage, tuition remission, continuing medical education support, and more, this position offers a uniquely supportive practice environment reinforced by Temple's mission-driven culture to provide and promote world-class equitable patient care, research, and medical education. The program also offers mentorship opportunities for new faculty members. Rank and salary will be aligned with qualifications and experience.

Application Process:

To be considered for this position, candidates must complete an online application. Your application will be deemed incomplete until all required documents and information are submitted.

Application materials should include a curriculum vitae, a personal statement outlining qualifications and professional aspirations, three professional references with contact information, and a statement detailing involvement in activities that promote diversity and inclusion, as well as plans for future contributions, which is highly encouraged.
