The employee may have access to secure areas for medication supplies as part of their job responsibilities.Key Responsibilities
1. Perform dust mopping and wet mopping of hard floors using disinfectant solutions in accordance with departmental cleaning protocols.
2. Execute thorough cleaning and disinfection tasks based on assigned areas.
3. Engage with patients and their environment while fulfilling job duties.
4. Dispose of waste following established Waste Handling and Removal procedures.
5.
Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives by providing feedback and staying informed about current performance metrics.
6.
Strip wax from hard floors and reapply wax finishes as per departmental guidelines.
7. Buff hard floor surfaces to enhance their appearance.
8. Vacuum carpets using standard or industrial vacuum cleaners.
9. Buff carpets as needed according to set schedules and upon request.
10. Extract carpets and furniture as required based on predetermined schedules and requests.
11. Demonstrate knowledge of necessary supplies and their proper usage.
12. Utilize applications for reporting patient room cleaning tasks to ensure efficient patient flow.
13. Report any required equipment repairs and ensure equipment is cleaned after use.
14. Set up meeting spaces as per scheduling requests.
15. Carry out all duties associated with the Environmental Services Technician role.
16. Move furniture as requested.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
For positions involving direct patient interaction, the employee must acquire and demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care as defined by the department's patient demographics.
Specifically, the employee must show competency in: 1) interpreting information in relation to patient needs; 2) understanding growth and development; and 3) recognizing the treatment requirements of patients.
