Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Manager, this Radiology Technologist will produce high-quality diagnostic medical radiographs to ensure proper diagnosis and quality patient care.
Responsibilities and Requirements- Produces quality images by using appropriate exposure technique to ensure proper penetration of the area being radiographed.
- Documents patient history containing pertinent patient information regarding their condition and including patient limitations.
- Verifies physician orders prior to the start of the exam.
- Utilizes the Kodak CR Imaging System to produce quality films and perform various tasks.
- Performs OR/Surgery cases using C-arms and portable machines efficiently.
- Supervises and teaches Radiology students exams and procedures as part of their clinical rotation.
- Communicates technical information in a manner appropriate for the intended person.
- Responds to changes in the workload using time to departmental advantage.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with varying or unpredictable situations. The Radiology Technologist will be exposed to blood and body fluid, as well as blood-borne pathogens and other biological hazards.
Requirements- Graduate of a Radiology Technology program and registry eligible.
- Two years Radiology Technology experience preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
The Radiology Technologist must be able to stand for and walk for long periods of time, lift, push, and pull 100 plus pounds, and move or transfer patients.
