Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our team at our Wilmington, MA office. The successful candidate will work closely with our mechanical engineering staff to design and maintain products for the power supply industry, as well as develop new mechanical packages for existing products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create or revise accurate, detailed SolidWorks CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and other engineering documentation as required per company processes.
  • Update engineering drawings and create Engineering BOM Change Lists for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Update mechanical packaging drawings of chassis, base plates, heatsinks, and components from concepts, customer specifications, and new product line development.
  • Update and create final assembly drawings of open frame PCBAs and PCBAs in mounting enclosures, checking dimensions of parts, materials to be used, and overall fit.

Requirements

  • SolidWorks experience and AutoCAD 2D CAD equivalent experience a plus for editing legacy drawings.
  • Experience creating detailed engineering/product drawings for manufactured mechanical components and PCBA assemblies, including Bill of Materials (BOM) generation.
  • Organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Thoroughness/attention to detail.
  • Computer skills (Windows, MS Office, previous PLM & ERP database experience preferred).
  • Willingness to perform other activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years SolidWorks experience.
  • Working in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
