Job Title: Software QA Engineer – AR/VR Applications

We're seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our team in Santa Monica, CA. This is a hybrid role, requiring 4 days of on-site work per week.

As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with the Lens Studio Engineering team to ensure the highest quality standards for the AR developer tool Lens Studio. We're looking for someone who can work independently, execute test procedures, and collaborate with Developers, Customer Support, and other QA team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute comprehensive testing for Lens Studio's performance, usability, and hardware/software compatibility
  • Drive bug prioritization and collaborate with Engineering and Product teams
  • Participate in release processes for Lens Studio
  • Assist in automating test cases
  • Work closely with Customer Support and internal teams to document bugs
  • Provide technical support to internal team members
  • Host and manage internal company test sessions and dogfooding

Requirements:

  • Experience working on desktop applications as a Quality Engineer or similar role
  • Experience writing and maintaining GUI tests
  • Experience analyzing nightly scopes and triaging issues
  • Good understanding of software product lifecycles
  • Ability to isolate defects effectively and provide specific conditions for reproducibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A keen attention to detail
  • BA or BS in computer science or related technical field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience with agile test tools and methodologies

  • Squish Automation (nice to have for automation side)
  • Python
  • Test Center
  • Manual testing experience (preference for desktop experience)
