We are currently looking for compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our dynamic team in Elgin and contribute to our transformative mission. We offer a variety of shifts including full-time, part-time, and PRN, with a competitive starting wage of up to $34/hr, along with additional differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

About Us:

Marklund is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing residential, educational, and therapeutic services to individuals with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With multiple residential locations, we currently support nearly 178 residents. Our Day School offers specialized programs for children and young adults with complex medical needs and those on the autism spectrum. Furthermore, our Community Day Services program provides therapeutic day programs for adults residing at Marklund and those from the community.

Through clinical excellence, compassionate care, and exceptional teamwork, Marklund nurses actively advance the nursing profession every day. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our residents by:
  • Administering medications, tube feedings, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Preparing quarterly health assessments and annual evaluations.
  • Notifying physicians of changes in resident health status and implementing their orders to ensure optimal healthcare.
  • Completing daily documentation for care provided.
  • Acting as a liaison among residents, families, physicians, consultants, and case managers regarding resident status.

Qualifications for Staff Nurse, LPN:
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) status, registered on the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry.
  • Valid BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Workers.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and meet functional and environmental requirements.
