Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at Dayton Children's. The successful candidate will provide intensive behavioral health services, including diagnostic assessments, individual, group, and family-based psychotherapy, and crisis intervention as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with patients and families to develop individualized treatment plans that address identified areas of concern.
  • Assist patients and their families in understanding ways to effectively manage symptoms and behaviors attributed to the identified behavioral health diagnosis.
  • Work with families to address complex personal and environmental difficulties that interfere with effective social functioning.
  • Deliver clinical services to patients, their families, and other significant individuals.
  • Work independently, be well-organized, and identify opportunities to collaborate with other units and departments within the hospital.
  • Participate as a professional member of the interdisciplinary team and community agencies.
  • Provide education and consultation to healthcare professionals and the community regarding the impact of psychosocial factors.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Counseling or Social Work.
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Ohio Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
