The Radiation Therapist plays a crucial role in the treatment of cancer patients at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. As a member of our radiation oncology team, you will work closely with physicians to develop and deliver personalized treatment plans using advanced technology such as Agility, VersaHD, and TomoHD.
Responsibilities
- Perform localization of tumors under the direction of the physician.
- Participate in treatment planning and delivery of high doses of ionizing radiation treatment to patients.
- Ensure all protocols and best practices are followed prior and during the delivery of treatment.
- Evaluate patient daily for any untoward effects, reaction, and therapeutic responses.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the California Department of Health Services as a Radiologic Technologist (Therapeutic).
- Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy or equivalent as recognized by the ARRT.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), approved by the American Heart Association.
