Position Overview

Join Prevention Central as a Fatherhood Engagement/Alumni Specialist

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and enroll fathers and caregivers on an annual basis
  • Link fathers and caregivers to essential community resources
  • Conduct assessments to determine eligibility for program involvement
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of referrals
  • Represent the program at community gatherings
  • Lead workshops tailored for fathers and male caregivers
  • Manage data entry and maintain reporting standards
  • Offer ongoing support to program alumni

Required Qualifications:

Associate's degree or relevant experience in community outreach or a related discipline

Background in social services, particularly with diverse communities

Experience in group facilitation and training is essential

Familiarity with working with fathers is advantageous

Knowledge of available community resources is preferred

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in managing multiple phone lines
  • Skilled in operating office equipment and technology
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and internet navigation
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capable of analyzing data and exercising sound judgment
  • Dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service
