Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at ACCESS Family Care. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our providers and staff, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient experiences.
Responsibilities- Assist providers in the examination and treatment of patients, staying at work until all patients are seen for the day.
- Perform physical exams, record patient medical histories, create patient care plans, and administer diagnostic tests.
- Provide advanced primary and/or specialty nursing care to patients in our facility.
- Order and administer specified medication, orally or by subcutaneous or intermuscular injection, and note time and amount on the patient's chart.
- Assess medications the patient is taking and maintain and operate equipment appropriately.
- Prepare patient documentation clearly, accurately, and completely.
- Assist with documentation and preparation of monthly/quarterly Performance Improvement reports.
- Respond to patient telephone inquiries by evaluating and responding to the patient's problems and questions.
- Attend and actively participate in clinical staff meetings and in-services training.
- Perform other duties as assigned by collaborative provider and/or in conjunction with clinic manager.
- A valid license to practice medicine in the State of Missouri.
- 5 years of experience in family practice is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using and retrieving information from electronic health records is required.
- Evaluation and data analysis skills.
- Data management experience for report writing and tracking.
- Tactful and patient along with a professional appearance and attitude.
The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require OSHA training.
Normal working hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with one hour off for lunch each day. Tuesday evenings are scheduled until 7:00pm. Overtime may be required occasionally, with flexible scheduling arrangements as approved.
