Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Manager to join our team at Entegris. As a Materials Manager, you will be responsible for continuously improving and driving accountability for the use of global standardized processes and procedures in conjunction with Distribution Planning, Supply Network Planning, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain Solutions team for production planning, distribution, and global inventory management and control to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a highly capable production planning, scheduling, and inventory control team through continuous improvement, metric performance, personnel development, and strong performance management.
- Develop and maintain leading and lagging performance metrics, conduct root cause analyses, and develop and execute appropriate action plans.
- Oversee and collaborate across functional players for successful management of manufacturing inputs into Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Drive accountability and closure of manufacturing supply constraints in partnership with Operations, Engineering, Business Unit Planning, Business Unit Marketing, and Purchasing.
- Inputs into development and maintenance of raw material & semi-finished goods inventory and safety stock strategies in accordance with Business Unit & Service Level strategies.
- Demonstrate fiscal responsibility through budget planning and develop strong accountability across materials team for sales value of production (SVOP), variance mitigation, inventory right sizing, and excess and obsolete inventory management (including MRB).
- Seek and drive continuous improvement opportunities with an emphasis on cost reduction, supply chain reliability, and sustainability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in Operations or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent. APICS certification a plus (CPIM or CIRM).
- 8-10 years of inventory planning & control, production planning, and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment while working in a cross-functional environment.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in MRP and/or ERP SAP system specifically related to inventory control, materials requirements planning, item master, demand planning, and production planning.
- Experience as master scheduler preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze data and turn data into information & action.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of professionals as well as leading cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders in all levels of the organization.
- Excellent decision-making ability with the confidence to implement those decisions.
- Proven record of success in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
- Ability to effectively develop people and manage the team through calculated development and intentional continuous improvement efforts.
- Demonstrated commitment to becoming a highly trusted collaborative member of the factory leadership team as evidenced by strong relationships across the organization.
- Notable progress and results in implementing and sustaining foundational elements of planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Track record for improvement through operational metrics, specifically: on-time shipment, schedule attainment, excess & obsolete material, scrap & variance costs.
